2005-07-05 Engineering Survey:
Thornton Tomasetti has finalized the reports on the engineering survey
of Island House. The reports are available for downloading from the web
site (see below) and are available for examination at Blackwell
Management during office hours. There are two reports: a Conditions
Assessment Report [PDF]
and an Elevator Evaluation Report [PDF]
dedicated exclusively to the elevators. Thornton Tomasetti recommended
that we conduct a more detailed electrical study to assess the power
usage of our building as compared to the current electrical capacity
given the nature of the building and its construction. However, this is
best done at a time of peak demand and we will consider asking that be
done in August. |
